I have 8 years of industry experience, working across a plethora of clients and industries for their communications needs.

 

I studied Sociology from high school and on; with this knowledge I am now working in the Entertainment industry, where I can utilize my understanding of human societies and human interactions to my benefit. I also have a strong focus on marginalized groups, having founded three DE&I ERGs at previous agencies from local, national, and global scopes.

 

I am meticulous in my organization and I am capable of playing different roles in cooperative projects whether I am the leader or team member. I am a devoted worker, and I’m driven to perform and satisfy the client. But the most important aspects of my experience are that I’m agile and adaptable, and a smart worker. Hard work is great, but I find greater value in efficiency and innovation.

Before my time in entertainment, I worked on internal and corporate communications strategies to increase brand identity for B2B, Corporate, and Public Affairs audiences, working primarily for enterprise and consumer technology clients. I also have experience in hospitality, venture capital, real estate, and others. I’ve played an integral role in executing crisis management reporting.

At Labelium, I learned the best practices of search engine optimization and search engine marketing, and applied them to the websites, online advertisements, and content copy for their product pages. This included conducting keyword research, writing ad copy, creating campaigns & ad groups for new products, and bidding on the most appropriate keywords. I also paced the budgets of the accounts and assisted in SEO audits.

My responsibilities included monitoring and posting to the social media accounts of the various initiatives of ReThink Media. I researched the current political and social issues that we would report on, as well as prepared content to be pitched to reporters. I was present at and participated many of the staff meetings, where we planned  our upcoming communications strategies. I learned how to use tools like Topsy and Sysomos, and before my time ended because of graduation, I proposed new policies for various accounts.

As a server, I relied on many of my skills relating to interpersonal communication. Because the greater majority of clients are paying members, one of my responsibilities is to improve and maintain the environment that they are payng for and have come to be comfortable in. I've also come on to rely on my skills of memorization, adaptability, and stress management to accommodate the variety of personalities I interact with, the different types of events, and fluctuating periods of traffic.
